Production
Our small yet efficient factory maintains a high standard of service that enables us to offer short lead times which reinforce the strong links we have with our customers.
Investment has seen the Coil Winding and Assembly sections updated to improve operator layout for greater efficiency. New machine additions have also been added and installed to the Coil Winding and Machine Shop, allowing us to readily adapt to the change in demand.
All coils are wound to requirement whether it is a small or large order. To assist us in this process we have six 4 spindle winding machines accompanied by two 2 spindle heavy gauge machines. These Wey Hwang machines feature an advanced PLD control for high speed winding and an unsurpassed accuracy of turns count.
Turned parts are manufactured within our own machine shop. Programmes can be downloaded to either the Accuturn Sprint, Accuturn GT27’s or Hardinge Conquest CNC’s, depending upon the requirements. Offline editing and programming capabilities increase up time and in turn speed set ups. Constantly stocking standard and customised parts allows us to keep lead times to a minimum.
Our Press shop facilities allow us to accommodate additional fixings in the frames to those published on our datasheets. The one piece formed frame was originally designed and made by Benson. This design eliminates the staking of a top plate as used in the U style.
